Timeless images that feel as beautiful and real as your love story.

THE FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do your services cost?

Every love story is one-of-a-kind, and your photography should reflect that. Because no two weddings or sessions are ever the same, we create custom quotes based on your specific needs. That said, our full-service wedding collections begin at £4,500. Once we get to know a bit more about your plans, we’ll share a tailored quote that aligns beautifully with your vision.

How do I book my date?

Once you've chosen your date and we’ve talked through your photography collection, we’ll send over a contract to review. A signed agreement and a 50% retainer officially secure your date in our calendar. We kindly ask for the contract back within about a week to keep your date held just for you. The final balance is due four weeks before your big day.

Note: Travel costs are quoted separately once we know more about your location and timeline. We always handle our own travel unless you have specific preferences.

How do you tell the story of our day?

We believe in a seamless blend of guided and candid moments. Working closely with your planner, we help build a timeline that allows for beautiful light, relaxed portraits, and organic in-between moments. Our approach includes gentle direction, artistic styling, and documentary storytelling—capturing the feeling of your day as much as the events.

Do you offer videography?

We don’t offer video services ourselves, but we’d be delighted to recommend trusted filmmakers we adore—Prettyinwhite is a favorite of ours.

Who should be in the family portraits?

We’ll start with immediate family (parents, siblings, grandparents), and we’re happy to include any additional groupings. Just let us know at least two weeks before the wedding—especially if there are special dynamics we should be aware of (blended families, stepparents, etc.). We want everyone to feel seen and included.

Should I make a “shot list”?

No need! We approach your day with intention and creativity. However, if you have special moments, heirlooms, or people you’d like us to prioritize, let us know ahead of time. On the day, please have your details (rings, dress, shoes, jewelry, etc.) ready in your getting-ready space—we’ll begin by photographing those beautiful pieces of your story.

Can I customise a collection?

Of course! We’d love to craft a collection that fits your celebration perfectly. Just share your dream list and we’ll build something bespoke for you.

Will there be a second photographer?

Possibly! Depending on the size and flow of your wedding, we may bring in a trusted second photographer or assistant. We’ll chat through what’s best for your day.

How do you make sure you stay on schedule throughout the day?

Great photography depends on great timing—and we’re here to help make that part effortless. Before your big day, we’ll work closely with your planner (or coordinator) to build a detailed photo timeline tailored to your celebration.

This thoughtful schedule ensures we capture every meaningful moment—while also giving you plenty of time to be present and soak it all in. By planning ahead, we help you stay relaxed, and make the most of the best natural light throughout the day.

Will we receive all the photos you take?

We believe in quality over quantity. You’ll receive a thoughtfully curated gallery of approximately 80–100 images per hour of coverage. Every photo you receive is selected for its content, composition, and storytelling value—no duplicates or awkward blinks.

Are the photos retouched?

All your final images will be color-corrected and adjusted for exposure. For prints or albums, we also include light retouching like blemish removal, flyaway hairs, and gentle enhancements—always keeping your photos natural and true to you.

For more extensive edits (like background changes, head swaps, or wardrobe tweaks), we offer professional retouching at £150/hour, and we’ll always provide a quote for approval beforehand.

Do you shoot film or digital?

Both. Film has our heart—there’s nothing quite like its timeless beauty. We shoot on film for about 50% of the day, and use digital when needed, especially in low light. Both are blended seamlessly in your final gallery for a cohesive, artful look.

When will we get our photos?

Great things take time—especially with film. For engagement and portrait sessions, delivery takes about 6–8 weeks. For weddings, expect your gallery around 10–12 weeks after your celebration. If your collection includes an album, we’ll send the first draft about 8 weeks after your full gallery is delivered.

When do you arrive on location?

We arrive at least the morning before your wedding or the first event we’re photographing—often earlier for destination celebrations. This gives us time to scout your venues, adjust to the light, and begin capturing details that tell the full story of your wedding weekend.

What happens if there's an emergency or travel delay?

While it’s incredibly rare (knock on wood!), we always plan carefully to ensure we arrive early and in great health. In the unlikely event something prevents us from being there, we’ll either find a trusted colleague with a similar style or fully refund your investment so you can make your own arrangements.

What if it rains? What if we have to reschedule/relocate due to weather or natural disaster?

Some of our favorite images were taken in the rain! We work closely with your planner to create a weather plan (and backup plan). Should your wedding need to be moved due to weather or a natural disaster, we’ll treat your situation with care and flexibility—every scenario is unique, and we’re with you every step of the way.

TIPS FOR A PICTURE-PERFECT

Wedding Day

01 Partner with a Skilled Wedding Planner

Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, filled with beauty, emotion, and countless moving parts. A talented planner helps bring your vision to life while managing the logistics, so you can fully enjoy your day without stress.

We love working alongside planners—it allows us to focus entirely on capturing stunning imagery while they ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

07 Curate and Prepare Your Details

Before the day begins, gather all of your details—invitation suite, rings, shoes, jewelry, heirlooms, perfume, and anything meaningful you’d like photographed. Have them ready in the getting-ready space. We love styling beautiful flat lays, especially with personal touches that tell your unique story.

09 Trust the Process & Enjoy It

We take the time to get to know you—your personalities, your story, your families—so we can authentically document your wedding day. After your engagement session, you’ll know exactly what to expect. On the big day, the best thing you can do is relax, be yourselves, and trust us to do what we do best.

02 Don’t Skip the Engagement Session

Especially for our destination clients, an engagement session is an invaluable opportunity to meet in person, build trust, and get comfortable in front of the camera. These sessions are not only fun and creative—they make wedding day photography feel effortless and natural.

03 Plan Around the Sunset

Natural light is key to the luminous, timeless look we’re known for. Since we primarily shoot on film, we work closely with you and your planner to build a timeline that takes advantage of the best light—especially for portraits, details, and decor.

Tip: Look up your wedding day’s sunset time and, if possible, visit your venue the year prior to observe how the light changes throughout the day.

04 Choose a Beautiful Getting Ready Space

Your getting ready location sets the tone for the early part of your day—and it’s where many important photos happen. Choose a space that is spacious, full of natural light, and styled in a way that complements your overall wedding aesthetic. This ensures a seamless visual flow in your final gallery.

05 Build a Realistic Wedding Day Timeline

Timelines are essential to keeping your day relaxed and organized. Delays in hair and makeup can snowball, affecting everything that follows. We recommend doing a full trial and adding buffer time—ideally an hour—so you have breathing room.

Bonus tip: Tell your bridal party and family to be photo-ready 15 minutes earlier than needed to keep everything running smoothly.

06 Consider a First Look

A first look not only creates a special, private moment between the two of you, but it also allows us to take most of your portraits before the ceremony. This frees you up to enjoy more of your cocktail hour and time with guests. We recommend saving only essential family portraits for post-ceremony to avoid feeling rushed or missing out on your celebration.

08 Go Phone-Free for the Ceremony

Unplugged ceremonies make a world of difference. Guests with phones, tablets, and cameras can unintentionally block our view or appear in key moments of your photos.

Ask your officiant to make a gentle announcement before the ceremony begins, encouraging guests to put their devices away and be fully present for the experience. It leads to more emotional, intimate images—and a more meaningful moment for everyone.
